Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated by the following criteria:

  • experience and/or good proposed ideas on teaching, undergraduate research, and curricular innovation;
  • potential for doing research and/or other scholarly activities in the area of specialization;
  • and willingness to start lecturing in Spanish within a two year period.

Dates

To ensure full consideration of your application it should be completed by Friday June 6, 2008. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Required materials

A complete application should include:

  1. a letter of intent stating interest in the position;
  2. a resume including two references (with phone numbers and email addresses);
  3. a statement addressing professional goals relevant to the above evaluation criteria;
  4. optionally copies of up to three recently published papers and/or abstracts of recent congress presentations.

The Search Committee may also request:

  1. at least two letters of recommendation;
  2. interviews by phone or video conference, or by invitation to visit the Department.
